Cole, Adam & Luke made a survey about artificial intelligence and how it is used in game. Here is our repsonses to the survey.
Luke's Response:
The most popular game from our survey was Call of Duty & FIFA. The most common genre of digital game was Shooter games. The reasons why most people liked their game was because they have good graphics and make you feel like you are actually shooting someone. They also like it because they verse the computer and it makes them feel like they are at the same ability as the computer and the fact that when you shooted someone, if you are playing single player, they will shoot back at you at the same ability. Some people also liked it because they could connect online and play people of the same ability or against friends all around the country or even overseas. Most people sometimes and do play the game online they do this as a social thing, get to meet new people who like the same interests as them they, play against their friends or even play against long distances. For the influences, friends were the most popular answer, Friends often influence others decisions as they want to play what ever is popular. The most popular genre of primary games was shooting/younger audience games. The reason why this is is because that it was popular and that all your friends were playing it. The reason why people stopped playing the game was because it was a game for a younger audience and that it is not popular anymore. From these results we analysed how much artificial intelligence is involved in games these days and as technology has advanced the graphics got better and the overall Artificial Intelligence has upgraded.
Adam's Response:
Overall they were a range of favourite games. They was no real overall favourite game as most people had diffrent reasons to why it was they favourite game for example this response said “Because I love the plot/ story line and have a wide variety of environments. I also like it because there are not many restrictions in movement and attacks. The graphics are also extremely good which makes things more realistic”. Another said “I like this game because it makes me feel like im driving a car and racing people that are at the same ability as me”.
Cole's Response:
41% of people play non online games. Artififcial intelligence will influence the way the play because they will be interacting with them. Most people play online/sometimes play online meaning that this survey will be inaccurate about artificial intelligence because most online games at the moment do not have AI in there multiplayer. Games that are currently online are normally PVP (player verse player). From the information collected in the survey shows that most people play games because they find them fun or they have friends who play. The most popular genre of game is shooting with sport as the next most popular game. Most sport games and shooter games are online so this backs up the facts that are proposed with the online games.
